I’m Lawrence Lindell (he/they). I’m a cartoonist, educator, musician and artist from California. I did the art school thing twice. I got my BFA in Digital Media with an emphasis in 2D animation/illustration from Otis College of Art and Design and my MFA in Comics from California College of the Arts.
My work focusses on Blackness, mental health and queerness.
When I’m not creating comics, music or touring, I am usually spending time with my spouse and kid, drinking coffee, and planning my next few projects.
I’ve been nominated for a few awards and I contribute comics to a few places. My work has been shown in museums and galleries. Some pieces you might be able to find on permanent display.
I run Laneha House with my spouse, we do fun stuff there!
